TOUCHSCREENS WITH 10-FINGER, STYLUS INPUT COMING

There are different kinds of touchscreens. While some touchscreens accept stylus input others are meant for tapping with your finger. Very few touchscreens available at the moment accept both finger and stylus inputs.

Now French display maker Stantum has released a multitouch display that can accept both finger and stylus inputs. If that is not enough, the Stantum display can recognize up to 10 simultaneous inputs. So you will be able to tap away with all ten of your finger all at once. The stantum displays are also pressure sensitive which means that a light touch would generate a light line. Press hard and you will be able to draw thick lines.

The company is now in talks with global chip makers. So it won’t be long before these displays show up in laptops and tablets.
